BNSF Service Interruption at Cajon, California

On Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:30 am pacific time, BNSF reported a track outage caused by wildfires impacting BNSF’s Cajon Subdivision, which runs between San Bernardino and Barstow, California. This location impacts train traffic into and out of the Los Angeles (CR/AR ramp) and San Bernardino (SR ramp).

Main Tracks 2 and 3 were both restored as of 17:50 pacific time on Wednesday, August 17th. Main Track 1 will remain out of service. Continued recovery efforts will be subject to wildfire activity in the affected areas. As domestic intermodal traffic moves through the area, JB Rail Operations will adjust train ETA’s accordingly.

Additional updates will be provided as they become available. Customers may experience estimated delays of 36 to 48 hours on shipments moving on this route.
Please check you load status at for updated ETA’s on your cargo once rail operations commence.
